Marc Wolin has extensive experience handling a broad range of business and complex litigation matters. Marc has represented companies of all sizes, government agencies, and institutions of higher education in class actions, business torts, insurance litigation, trademark litigation, shareholder disputes, whistleblower litigation, contractual disputes, employment litigation, and matters involving the Federal Communications Act and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.

Marc has served as a Special Master in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in a trademark infringement action. He is a mediator who is certified for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and has also served as one of the Court's certified mediators for Hurricane Sandy litigation. In addition, Marc has also served as an expert witness on the issue of legal fees.

Marc is a Trustee of multiple asbestos trusts and has been appointed as Special Counsel to Trustees in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to joining Saiber, Marc served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward N. Cahn, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

  • Obtained a judgment in excess of $2.2 million for two shareholders of a close corporation who had exercised their rights to sell their shares of the corporation to the majority shareholder, which claimed that the value of our clients’ shares was zero.

  • Successfully obtained dismissal of a federal class action complaint against a Fortune 500 insurance company in a suit brought by Ambulatory Surgical Centers (“ASCs”) and insureds, who were denied PIP benefits relating to high-risk medical procedures performed at ASCs instead of hospitals, in violation of New Jersey law.

  • Prevailed in successive lawsuits filed in Federal and State court on behalf of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and its Executive Director in emergent matters seeking injunctive relief as to the right of the NJSDA to proceed with a State-approved project to raze the existing Camden High School and construct a new state-of-the-art high school.

  • Obtained a $6,081,000.00 judgment for DIRECTV, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania pursuant to the Federal Communications Act against a company that fraudulently posed as a DIRECTV dealer to multiple governmental entities, including dozens of United States VA Hospitals, Air Force Bases and Naval Bases.

  • Mediated several Hurricane Sandy matters as appointed mediator for U.S. District Court in the District of New Jersey.

  • Obtained dismissal of federal class action Complaint against DIRECTV in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey following a successful motion to compel arbitration involving alleged violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and the New Jersey Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

  • Obtained a refund of $1,637,831.18 in connection with a civil forfeiture action in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey for client whose funds had been stolen, and subsequently seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Frito-Lay, Inc., which had allegedly violated the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, and successfully handled appeal in which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed the District Court (2013).

  • Successfully opposed Class Certification motion in a federal class action in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in a matter alleging violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and other claims related to Best Buy's price match policy.

  • Successfully obtained judgment on behalf of Plaintiff for breach of contract relating to a complex medical imaging system in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and obtained counsel fees award in subsequent arbitration.

  • Successfully represented a New Jersey Superior Court Judge accused of violating the Canons of Judicial Conduct after a trial before the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct.

  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of DIRECTV, Inc. and against EchoStar Communications regarding the rights to a Greek language programming channel.

  • Obtained a verdict for DIRECTV following a trial in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in which defendant was found to have pirated DIRECTV's programming signals in violation of the Federal Communication Act (FCA) and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA).

  • Appointed liaison counsel to the Court in matter where hospitals had asserted thousands of claims regarding "lost discounts" against PPOs for patient treatment.

  • Successfully moved to dismiss charges of workplace discrimination in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) by 17 plaintiffs against a construction supervisor.

  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of Performax, Inc. in a claim by Englewood Hospital for failure to pay full payment for hospital services rendered to certain patients.

  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of Corporate Benefit Services of America, Inc. in a claim by Monmouth Medical Center for failure to pay full payment for hospital services rendered to certain patients.

  • Successfully moved to dismiss a breach of contract action by a former retailer for DIRECTV.

  • Successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of DIRECTV, Inc. against multiple individuals who had pirated DIRECTV's programming signals in violation of the Federal Communication Act (FCA) and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA).

  • Successfully represented an executor of an estate regarding a dispute of entitlement to annuity proceeds.
