Marc Wolin concentrates his practice in business and complex litigation. He also serves as the Trustee of the Plibrico Asbestos Trust and Plibrico Silica Trust.  Marc has represented a major television telecommunications company in signal piracy litigation, working on over 140 federal cases in the State of New Jersey.

Marc served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward N. Cahn, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Representative Matters

Mehalis v. Frito-Lay, Inc.:  Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Frito-Lay, which had allegedly violated the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act (affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit).

Philips Healthcare, a Division of Philips Electronics North America Corp. v. Cardiovascular Interventionalists of Central Jersey:  Successfully arbitrated matter related to breach of lease agreement for a complex medical imaging system.

DiSanto v. Best Buy Stores, L.P.:  Successfully opposed Class Certification in a matter related to Best Buy's price match policy.

Caro Associates II, LLC v. Best Buy Stores, L.P.:  Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Best Buy in connection with an alleged breach of commercial lease agreement that Best Buy had with plaintiff.

Noteworthy Decisions

Successfully represented a New Jersey Superior Court Judge accused of violating the Canons of Judicial Conduct after a trial before the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct.

Obtained summary judgment in favor of DIRECTV, Inc. and against EchoStar Communications regarding the rights to a Greek language programming channel.

Obtained a verdict for DIRECTV following a trial in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in which defendant was found to have pirated DIRECTV's programming signals in violation of the Federal Communication Act (FCA) and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA).

Appointed liaison counsel to the Court in matter where hospitals had asserted thousands of claims regarding "lost discounts" against PPOs for patient treatment.

Successfully moved to dismiss charges of workplace discrimination in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) by 17 plaintiffs against a construction supervisor.

Obtained summary judgment in favor of Performax, Inc. in a claim by Englewood Hospital for failure to pay full payment for hospital services rendered to certain patients.

Obtained summary judgment in favor of Corporate Benefit Services of America, Inc. in a claim by Monmouth Medical Center for failure to pay full payment for hospital services rendered to certain patients.

Successfully moved to dismiss a breach of contract action by a former retailer for DIRECTV.

Successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of DIRECTV, Inc. against multiple individuals who had pirated DIRECTV's programming signals in violation of the Federal Communication Act (FCA) and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA).

Successfully represented an executor of an estate regarding a dispute of entitlement to annuity proceeds.
