William F. Maderer Appointed to the Annual Conference Program Committee Of The National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA)

William F. Maderer, Managing Member of the Florham Park, NJ law firm, Saiber LLC, was recently appointed to the Program Committee for NACUA’s 54th Annual Conference, which will be held in June 2014 in Denver, CO.

Mr. Maderer was also recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the periodical, Campus Legal Advisor, published by John Wiley & Sons. The publication covers legal issues, case decisions and statutory and regulatory updates for in-house counsel and administrators at colleges and universities throughout the country.

Bill focuses on higher education law, employment and complex business litigation, corporate investigations and white collar criminal defense. Before entering private practice, Bill was an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the Special Prosecution Division, U.S. Attorneys Office, District of New Jersey.

An experienced civil and criminal litigator, Bill is regularly retained by colleges and universities in New Jersey to conduct independent investigations relating to employee misconduct and compliance issues.

In October 2012, Bill moderated the NJ State Bar Association’s Higher Education Committee Conference on "Lessons Learned from Penn State: A Comprehensive Review of University Practices and Responsibilities in the Aftermath of the Sandusky Sex Abuse Scandal." He has spoken on a variety of other panels and has authored articles on higher education and trial practice.

Listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and New Jersey Super Lawyers Top 100, Bill is an affiliate member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and is a member of the Editorial Board of its publication, NACUANOTES. Bill is also a Fellow, American Bar Foundation and the Former President, Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey.
