Gaming Law

Saiber has a specialized practice in Gaming Law that covers the full spectrum of issues confronted by casino companies, lottery companies, businesses that provide gaming industry-related goods and services, and investors, lenders and financial institutions that provide capital to the industry. We regularly represent these entities in connection with licensing applications, regulatory hearings and matters before the N.J. Casino Control Commission, National Indian Gaming Commission and other State and Federal regulatory and administrative bodies throughout North America.

We also provide ongoing advice to casinos, investors and financial institutions regarding structuring corporate transactions that may ultimately have licensing ramifications, including acquisitions, restructurings and other change of control transactions. We offer general advice concerning corporate strategies, counsel clients on compliance and corporate governance-related issues that may have regulatory ramifications and, when disputes arise, represent clients in all facets of litigation.

Since its inception as a recognized aspect of the profession, we have maintained a sub-specialty in Native American Law and especially in all aspects of Indian Gaming. Our attorneys provide regulatory legal representation and specialized legal advice to Native American Tribes in areas such as sovereignty, gaming regulation and management and economic, governmental infrastructure and commercial development.  We also provide representation to entities that endeavor to, or are already, involved in commercial relationships with Native American Tribes and derivative entities.

We also conduct independent internal investigations for gaming companies on matters that may be of a sensitive or regulatory concern or that otherwise may impact qualification or licensing. We provide legal and government relations assistance in new development jurisdictions concerning, among other things, the alternative models for legalization, compliance issues, the multitude of legislative and regulatory matters involved in legalization and the numerous other regulatory issues that impact development projects.
