On Thursday, May 15th, DanaLynn Colao will co-moderate a panel discussion sponsored by the NJSBA Higher Education Committee entitled “Impact of 2025 Executive Orders on Institutions of Higher Education and the Viability of Judicial Scrutiny” at the 2025 New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Conference. DanaLynn will be joined by co-moderator Jemi Goulian Lucey of Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP and speakers Jenny-Brooke B. Condon of Seton Hall Law School; Francine Newsome Pfeiffer of Rutgers University; and Aileen O'Driscoll, Esq., New Jersey Education Association
The panel will review the then-current state of affairs, hear from Higher Education professionals and administrators regarding how they are dealing with these ordered changes and their mandates on colleges and universities, and hear from experts on the justiciability of executive orders and how that impacts enforcement. The panel will also touch upon the broader implications of these orders not only to institutions of higher education but also to any educational institution which receives federal funding.
