Lisa C. Wood is a member of the firm's insurance coverage group and concentrates her practice on insurance coverage in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Lisa has more than twenty years of experience handling complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling insurance companies on a broad range of coverage issues involving general and excess liability, employers liability, pollution and environmental liability, errors and omissions and directors and officers liability, commercial auto, first party property, products liability and bad faith litigation.
Lisa was recently selected by one of her insurance company clients to serve on a National COVID-19 Coverage Task Force. In this role, she provides coverage advice regarding pollution policy claims and in the formulation of the Company’s national positions on COVID-19 coverage issues.
Lisa has defended insurers in multi-million dollar exposures for environmental, latent injury and employment practices coverage matters, including litigation with Syngenta, Cooper Industries, W.R. Grace, Waste Management, Schering-Plough, American Cyanamid, Ciba-Geigy, Unisys, Parker-Hannifin, Merrill Lynch, and Warner Lambert. Lisa has served as national coordinating counsel on toxic tort claims.
Lisa is also an avid rider and equine attorney who brings a lifetime of horse experience to her law practice. She is active in the horse show world and currently trains and shows her imported Hanoverian gelding. Lisa handles a range of equine transactions and litigation matters such as equine purchase and sale agreements, trial and lease agreements, training and boarding agreements, stable keeper’s liens, sales commission disputes and liability waivers.
Lisa served as a law clerk for the Hon. Peter Paul Olszewski, Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
