Pro Bono & Community Outreach
Providing free legal advice to those in need is deeply rooted in Saiber’s more-than 70-year history. We encourage all attorneys, from members to associates, to engage and serve the communities where we work and call home. Our attorneys approach pro bono matters with the same strategic planning, thoughtfulness and care as they would any matter. Each year, our attorneys dedicate hundreds of hours helping individuals, small businesses, nonprofits and other charitable organizations receive the necessary legal support to reach their goals.
In addition to providing legal advice, many of our attorneys donate their time to serve on boards of charitable and nonprofit organizations, provide legal advice to their local houses of worship, and serve as mentors to inner-city youths through various organizations.
Street Law, Inc.
For years, Saiber has teamed with Allstate Insurance Company and Street Law, Inc. to host a day-long legal educational program and mock trial for underserved students in New Jersey. Developed by Street Law, Inc., a nonprofit organization that creates classroom and community programs that teach people about the law, this annual program includes interactive workshops, breakout prep sessions for the plaintiff’s and defendant’s “counsel,” a networking lunch, and culminates in a mock trial put on entirely by the students.
Saiber attorneys and staff members participate in the program each year as speakers, student coaches, jury members, and event organizers. The students spend the school day at Saiber’s Florham Park office and are exposed to the challenges attorneys face every day.
Volunteer Lawyers for Justice
Our lawyers work closely with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, a program that provides free legal services to low-income adults, children and families in New Jersey to ensure fair and equal treatment within the legal system. We have provided legal services ranging from general legal advice to full representation on a variety of civil legal issues, including debt collection defense and estate planning for military veterans.
“My experience with working with VLJ has been invaluable. Having the opportunity to give back to the community has been incredibly rewarding and is something I value as an attorney.”
